Photo Flash: Cast of Titan Theatre Company's All-Female OTHELLO Gathers for Rehearsals

Titan Theatre Company has started rehearsals for the final production of its 2014-15 season, an All-Female version of Shakespeare's OTHELLO. Performances will begin April 17 at the Queens Theatre.

"It's going to be something truly special." said Titan Resident Acting Company Member Laura Frye, who also plays Shakespeare's infamous villain Iago in the production, "I never thought I'd ever even be in a production of OTHELLO period, let alone able to play one of the greatest characters ever written. I think a lot of us feel that way. It's going to be a great ride, and one that I'm sure many of us will hold close long after we are done with the run."

The cast will feature Leah Dutchin as Othello, joined by Emily Trask as Desdemona, and Laura Frye as Iago. The company also features Carol Linnea Johnson, Abbey Siegworth, Leah Gabriel, Alyssa Van Gorder, Molly Densmore, Deanna Gibson, Kate Gunther, Alex Spieth, Erica Knight and Carolynne Warren, with Maggie Wetzel, Bailey Seeker, Aidaa Peerzada, and Sierra Tothero as understudies.

Titan's Artistic Director, Lenny Banovez, will direct the production with a creative team that will include set design is by Jasmine Nicole, lighting design by Alan Piotrowicz, costume design by Becky Willett, sound design by Weston Wetzel, and fight choreography by Jonathan Hicks.
