BFF, a new play written by 17-year-old Zoe Nelms was presented as a staged reading at The Nubox Theater on Sunday, November 18. BFF is directed by John Lant and will be performed in February as part of the New York Theater Festival's Winterfest.
BFF is the story of Alice, a lonely woman who puts up an ad for a roommate and ends up finding Lola, the best friend she's been dreaming of. They're inseparable-until Alice finds out that her new roommate is a vigilante serial killer. Suddenly, Alice is forced to choose between becoming an accomplice to murder(s) or turning in (and losing) her one true friend.
The reading was performed by Kay Kelley, Olivia Helaine, Ashley North, Emily Michelle Griffith, Jesse Reid, Bri Ellison, and Derek Roche.
BFF will be performed February 11th, 13th, and 16th at the Hudson Guild Theater as part of The New York Theater Festival's 2019 Winterfest. Tickets are available at BFFtickets.com.
BFF is produced by Off-Broadway's John Lant ("WICKED FROZEN," "FRANKENSTEIN," "IT CAME FROM BEYOND" "THE HIDDEN ONES") in association with Zoe Nelms, Joe Nelms, and Write Act Repertory.
