Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) presents Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's
new play, GOOD BOYS AND TRUE, at Second Stage Theatre (307 West 43rd
Street, just west of Eighth Avenue). Directed by Tony Award-nominee Scott Ellis, GOOD BOYS AND TRUE will officially opened Monday, May 19 at 6:45pm.

career when they produced his drama, The Mystery Plays, in the Second
Stage Uptown series during the summer of 2004. Following that, Roberto
was the NEA/TCG Playwright-in-Residence at Second Stage Theatre during
the 2004 and 2005 seasons and is currently part of the Time Warner
Commissioning Program at Second Stage Theatre.Against a backdrop of 1980's privilege and power, a disturbing scandal at an all-boys prep school forces a mother (J. Smith-Cameron) to confront the truth about her son (Brian J. Smith) and herself in GOOD BOYS AND TRUE, a new play by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Based on a Totally True Story, HBO's "Big Love"), directed by Tony Award-nominee Scott Ellis (Curtains,
The Little Dog Laughed, Twelve Angry Men). As the scandal unexpectedly
twists and turns, mother and son find themselves contending with
unforeseen and long-concealed secrets that threaten to destroy both
school and family.
GOOD BOYS AND TRUE has scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Tom Broeker, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, and sound design by Lewis Flinn.The world premiere production of GOOD BOYS AND TRUE, directed by Pam MacKinnon, played at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre from December 12, 2007 - February 16, 2008.GOOD
BOYS AND TRUE will be performed through Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Second
Stage Theatre (307 West 43rd Street, just west of 8th Avenue) on the
following schedule: Tuesday at 7:00pm, Wednesday - Saturday at 8:00pm,

Patrons under age 25 may purchase a limited number of specially-priced
$25 tickets in advance. A limited number of student rush tickets are
