Photo: CHURCHILL's Ronald Keaton Appears at Harvard Club ImageThe Harvard Club of New York presented a very special event on May 26th featuring a performance and conversation with Ronald Keaton, star and author of the smash hit Off-Broadway play CHURCHILL. The evening was moderated by CHURCHILL's assistant director Tricia McDermott and culminated in a stimulating Q&A with the audience. Based on the life and writings of one of the greatest wartime leaders of the 20th Century, CHURCHILL opened at New World Stages on February 18th to unanimous rave reviews led by CBS Radio which declared, "Ronald Keaton evokes a transcendent greatness that was Winston Churchill!" In this highly charged new play directed by Kurt Johns, Churchill discusses his failures and his successes; his love of art, liquor and women; and the bravery of Britain's finest hour.

Over the past four decades, Ronald Keaton has established himself as one of Chicago's most dependable and versatile character actors at the Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace, First Folio Theatre, Theater at the Center, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Porchlight Music Theatre, and Mercury Theatre, among many others. His regional credits include roles at the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Houston's Alley Theatre and the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami.

The Harvard Club of New York is a private social club located in Midtown Manhattan. Its membership is restricted almost entirely to alumni and faculty of Harvard University. Incorporated in 1887, it is housed in adjoining lots at 27 West 44th Street and 35 West 44th Street. The original wing, built in 1894, was designed in red brick neo-Georgian style by Charles Follen McKim of McKim, Mead & White. The HCNY Foundation has a scholarship fund that helps support 20 undergraduates at Harvard College and several students in graduate programs, as well as international student exchange programs.

CHURCHILL is a joint production of the Greenhouse Theater Center, SoloChicago, and the Wendy & William Spatz Charitable Foundation, with the support and permission of The Churchill Centre.

Performances of CHURCHILL are Mondays at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, with matinees Thursday and Saturday at 2:30pm and Sunday at 3pm at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street. Tickets are available at www.Telecharge.com or by calling 212-239-6200. A limited number of same day $22 Student Rush tickets (cash only, with valid student ID) are available at the New World Stages box office.
