Performances Begin Tonight For New Musical WICKED CLONE At The Davenport Theatre ImageWICKED CLONE, the cinema musical, is set to begin Off-Broadway performances tonight (Thursday) with the Opening Night set for March 8th at the Davenport Theatre, 354 West 45 Street (between Eighth & Ninth Ave.) Created and performed by Indiggo Twins (Grammy-winning artists Mihaela and Gabriela Modorcea), Wicked Clone is based on their bestselling Barnes & Noble novel, Wicked Clone OR HOW TO DEAL WITH THE EVIL. Identical twin sisters born in Transylvania, Mihaela and Gabriela turn the age-old vampire cliché upside down in this tale about a vampire bitten by a human being.

WICKED CLONE reveals who and what vampires truly are. Born without a heartbeat, memories or inspiration, Mihaela flees from Transylvania to New York and pulls her fangs out in order to love and become a human. Her "Wicked Clone" twin sister Gabriela follows her through space and time to bring her back to her vampiric roots. Featuring fairy tale elements of traditional Transylvanian folklore with themes related to Goethe's FAUST, Ibsen's PEER GYNT and Dante's DIVINE COMEDY, Wicked Clone is the compelling story of two identical twin sisters born in Transylvania in 1483, who live and work in 2018 NYC.

WICKED CLONE is a cinema musical, a new genre that projects the audience into an immersive blend of theater & film and an epic story of rebirth. The twins will be performing 19 of their original pop-gypsy compositions and hot-blooded choreography, wearing royal garments of Transylvanian inspiration.

Indiggo Twins is comprised of multi-talented identical twin sisters Mihaela and Gabriela Modorcea - Romanian-born American artists. Several top music producers have written with and for Indiggo Twins including Swizz Beatz (Beyoncé, Jay-Z), Rockwilder (Christina Aguilera), Peter Zizzo (Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne), and Paul Oakenfold (Madonna). Their original song "La La La" was featured on the multi-platinum and four-time Grammy Award-winning album, WATCH THE THRONE by Jay-Z and Kanye West, specifically on the track "Murder to Excellence," called "the centerpiece of the album" by The New York Times. The song earned the sisters a spot on Complex Magazine's Top 20 Best White Vocals in Rap History list. The Modorcea sisters both graduated with honors from the National University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography, Bucharest.

Performances of Wicked Clone will be Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm, with matinees Sunday at 3 pm. Tickets are available through www.Telecharge.com 212-239-6200. For more information, visit www.WickedClone.com.
