Parkinson Joins Off-Bdwy's 'OUR TOWN' During Cromer Hiatus Starting 5/1

The producers of the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production of' Thornton Wilder's Our Town staged by Obie award-winner David Cromer, have announced that Scott Parkinson will temporarily assume the central role of 'Stage Manager' in this staging of Wilder's timeless play beginning Friday, May 1st. Mr. Comer departs the company for a 5-week hiatus to honor a prior commitment with plans to return in mid-June.

The current cast at The Barrow Street Theatre features (in alphabetical order) Jeremy Beiler as Sam Craig, Rob Beitzel as Howie Newsome, Kati Brazda as Mrs. Webb, George Demas as Constable Warren, Donna Jay Fulks as Mrs. Soames, Jennifer Grace as Emily, Wilbur Edwin Henry as Professor Willard, Adam Hinkle as Joe Crowell, Ronete Levenson as Rebecca Gibbs, James McMenamin as George, Ken Marks as Editor Webb, Jonathan Mastro as Simon Stimson, Seamus Mulcahy as Wally Webb, Lori Myers as Mrs. Gibbs, Jay Russell as Joe Stoddard, Jeff Still as Doc Gibbs, Jason Yachanin as Si Crowell, and David Cromer as the Stage Manager.

David Cromer's critically acclaimed staging of Thornton Wilder's Our Town, now on stage at The Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street), began performances February 17th and opened to rave reviews on February 26th at the downtown venue whose space has been completely redesigned for this production.

Cromer, who directed last season's hit Off-Broadway musical, Adding Machine, will make his Broadway directing debut in the fall with Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound.

Our Town is produced by Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian, Tom Wirtshafter, Ted
Snowdon, Eagle Productions, Dena Hammerstein/Pam Pariseau, The Weinstein
Company, and Burnt Umber Productions.

The performance schedule for Our Town is as follows: Tuesday - Friday at
7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2:30 p.m. & 7:30
p.m. Tickets are priced at $69 & $49.50 and are available through smarttix

office (open at 1 p.m. daily). Student tickets at $20 are available on the
day of performance only at the box office.
