PARTY FACE, the new comedy by Isobel Mahon ("Glenroe," "Fair City"), will play its final performance on April 8, 2018 at City Center Stage (ii) ( 131 West 55th Street). Party Face began previews on Thursday, January 11, 2018, and opened on Monday, January 22. At the time of closing, Party Face will have played 14 previews and 88 regular performances.
Director Amanda Bearse has stepped into the role of "Bernie" for the final week of performances, joining Academy Award-winning actress Hayley Mills (The Parent Trap, Pollyanna), Gina Costigan (Mint Theater's The Suitcase Under the Bed), Brenda Meaney (Indian Ink), and Allison Jean White (Roundabout's Man and Boy). The role of "Bernie" was previously played by Klea Blackhurst (Goodspeed's Hello, Dolly!, The Nutty Professor).
You're invited to a party that's full of surprises. Careful plans are upended when a mother brings her own food to her daughter's party-and also the "right" person to be her daughter's new best friend. They put on their "party faces" and hope for the best--but when facades crack, secrets spill...and laughter roars as their revelry leads to revelations.
PARTY FACE features set design by Jeff Ridenour, lighting design by Joyce Liao, costume designs by Lara de Bruijn, sound design by Damien Figueras and casting by Pat McCorkle, CSA, McCorkle Casting, Ltd. Brierpatch Productions serves as general management.
Tickets range from $39 -$129 and are available at nycitycenter.org or by phone at 212-581-1212. The remaining performance schedule is as follows: Thursday at 7:30pm, Fridayat 7:30pm, Saturday at 2:30pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday at 3:00pm and 7:30pm.
