Original Stars to Reunite for AFTER THE FAIR in Concert at Urban Stages ImageAfter the Fair, the award-winning musical written by Kleban Award winner Stephen Cole and Mac Award winner Matthew Martin Ward, will perform a one-night-only 20th Anniversary Concert at Urban Stages as part of their Winter Rhythms Series on December 21st at 7:00 p.m.

Stephen Cole and Matthew Martin Ward's Off-Broadway and London musical is back for one night with the original Seattle Edith, Mary Jo DuGaw, School of Rock's Jenn Gambatese, and Phantom's Tim Jerome and Joshua Hinck.

With the composer at the keyboard, the author directing and the original Off- Broadway costumes designed by Bottari and Case, this romantic musical based on a Thomas Hardy story will sweep you away to 19th century England, where a letter can change four lives and "nothing will ever be the same."

The show premiered at the Lyric Stage in Dallas, 20 years ago and went on to win five Dallas Theatre League Awards, including Best New Play or Musical and Best Musical Production. The show then triumphed at the Apple Tree in Chicago, before moving to the York Theatre Company in NYC, where it received a nomination for "Best Musical" from the Outer Critics Circle. It also played at London's Kings Head Theatre, Islingston in 2000. The musical also triumphed at, The Village Theatre in WA, where Marni Nixon protégé, Mary Jo DuGaw played Edith.
