Salvage Vanguard Theater will present the new Off-Broadway play The Intergalactic Nemesis, by Jason Neulander and Chad Nichols, and directed by Neulander. The production will play 8 performances only from July 5-14 at the TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street).
"The year is 1933. Ben Wilcott has traveled back in time from 2096 to warn the world of an impending alien invasion. Ben solicits the help of Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Molly Sloan and her assistant Timmy Mendez. Together they travel across the globe and ultimately to another galaxy to help save the world from sure doom. Along the way they battle the sinister mesmerist Mysterion, befriend the inhabitants of a Robot Planet, and confront the hideous sludge monsters from the planet Zygon. It's Star Wars meets Raiders of the Lost Ark with a little of Flash Gordon thrown in for good measure. And it rocks!," state press notes.
For ten years, The Intergalactic Nemesis has reached an extremely broad audience, literally aged nine to 90. The spectacle of The Intergalactic Nemesis lies in the power of the audience's imagination led by the transformative live sound effects. We start in a radio studio, but it's not long before we're all careening through outer space, following Molly's adventures as she battles to save the galaxy from imminent destruction."
