The Off-Broadway cast of Honestly Abe -The Musical celebrated their 1 year anniversary at Actor's Temple on February 10th, 2012. The hit family musical will continue its Off-Broadway run and launch its Community Partnership Program. The program will bring special community performances and workshops to students all over the city both in the schools and at the theatre.

Honestly Abe will partner with local businesses and charitable individuals and organizations to bring the arts to communities that would other not have access. To be part of the Community Partnership Program individuals and organizations should email lamusevenale@gmail.com.

Honestly Abe-The Musical is produced by La Muse Venale. La Muse Venale Inc. is a 501c3, tax-exempt, professional, non-profit theater company, founded in 2004 by M. Stefan Strozier.

La Muse Venale is authorized by New York State to solicit donations (#21-61-27) and is registered in Data Universal Numbering System (#784515202).

The mission of La Muse Venale is to bring educational and important theatre pieces to communities all over the country with a special initiative to bring schools groups to performances and special workshops. The production is Produced and Directed by M. Stefan Strozier.

Honestly Abe is a musical tale of dreams, possibilities and heartbreak by critically acclaimed playwright Robert L. Hecker, which shines a light on the little-known early life of President Abraham Lincoln. Directed by M. Stefan Strozier, set in Indiana in the early 1820s, and based on historical fact; Honestly Abe reveals young Abe Lincoln as a rambunctious and misunderstood youth. Abe Lincoln dreams of the day he can quit the family farm, leave his life of rail-splitting and become a riverboat captain. This plan is derailed by a family tragedy setting young Abe Lincoln on the path toward the law and politics. Robert L. Hecker's critically acclaimed and audience-praised musical features a full score of exciting guaranteeing to please kids of all ages! Audiences leave the theatre with a smile, inspired by this true story of our greatest president in history.
