The Directors Company has announced its next play in its monthly reading series in The Directors Studio, Famous Blue Raincoat, by Robert Emmet Lunney, featuring Obie Award winner Russell G. Jones (Ruined), Florencia Lozano, and PJ Sosko. The reading will be directed by Jackson Gay.
In Famous Blue Raincoat, Matthew Snow, a life-embracing renaissance man living on the fringe, arrives at the Hamptons home of his college friend, Len, and his wife Jane. He brings with him a 1,200 page manuscript and a still-burning desire to live life to the fullest.
And what can I tell you my brother, my killer
What can I possibly say?
I guess that I miss you, I guess I forgive you
I'm glad you stood in my way
- from Leonard Cohen's Famous Blue Raincoat
The reading will take place March 30, 2017 at 7:00 pm at The Directors Studio, 311 West 43rd Street, 4th Floor. For more information, email directorscompany@gmail.com.
