The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, general managers, venue owners, press agents and marketing firms, will hold the third in a series of seminars focused on the culture, business and history of Off Broadway theater. The seminar, titled "Producing Off Broadway - Think Outside The Box", will feature a discussion of the producing models for six celebrated Off Broadway productions: Our Town, Adding Machine, Circumcise Me, The Fantasticks, Bug and The Great American Trailer Park Musical.

Among the panelists will be producers Amy Danis, Scott Morfee, Eva Price and Orin Wolf, President of Off Broadway Booking, who will speak about the role of Off Broadway in the touring, regional and road circuits.

Jeremy Gerard, theater editor and critic for Bloomberg, will moderate the discussion.

Among the topics to be discussed include choosing the property, obtaining the rights, raising money, dealing with specific artistic challenges, marketing and advertising, and knowing when to extend. The event will also include an audience Q&A.

The panel will be held at The Snapple Theater Center's Jerry Orbach Theater on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Doors will open at 11:30am for networking and complimentary continental breakfast and coffee. The panel will take place from Noon - 1:30pm. The Snapple Theater Center is located at 210 West 50th Street (at Broadway).

Admission for the seminar is free, however reservations are a must. To RSVP for the event, visit http://june6seminar.eventbrite.com/ before June 4.
