Nunya Productions announced today that it will present Neil LaBute's acclaimed play Some Girl(s). The production will be the second outing for the newly-formed theater company. Performances are set to begin on December 8th 2011 at American Theatre of Actors' Sargent Theatre (314 W. 54th Street).

The founding partners of Nunya Productions, who are committed to using proceeds from each of their productions to help vital non-profit organizations in need, have decided to donate 80% of the profits of Some Girl(s) to the non-profit movement To Write Love on Her Arms. To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inspire, inform, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. Since its start in 2006, TWLOHA has donated over $850,000 directly into treatment and recovery and answered over 160,000 emails from over 100 countries.

Neil LaBute's play Some Girl(s) turns outrageously funny and deadly serious in this portrait of a young man's journey. The play casts a truthful, hilarious light on a typical young American male as he wanders through the heart of darkness that is himself.

The cast of Some Girl(s) includes Michael Scott King (Guy), Rebecca De Ornelas (Sam)Betty Kaplan (Tyler), Jody Lyn Flynn (Lindsay), Robin Singer (Bobbi), Mariya King(Reggie)

Directed by Roger Del Pozo, Some Girl(s) will feature scenic design by Mariya King,Rome Brown, and Michael Scott King, lighting design by Rome Brown and Michael Scott King

Nunya Productions was formed with two goals in mind: to create opportunities for New York actors to perform meaningful work and to make a positive global impact while doing so. Founding members Michael Scott King and Mariya King started the company in 2009 as an antidote to the impact that the faltering economy has had on New York's independent theater scene. The company is committed to using proceeds from each of their productions to benefit vital non-profit organizations in need throughout New York and around the world.

Some Girl(s) will perform Thursday, December 8th, Friday December 9th, Saturday December 10th, Sunday December 11th, Wednesday December 14th, Thursday December 15th, Friday December 16th, Saturday December 17th.
