George and Ira Gershwin's "Oh, Kay" opens Tuesday October 13 at the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row in NYC. Nicolas Dromard (Jersey Boys) plays charming playboy Jimmy Winter, who on the eve of his wedding rediscovers a woman he met in a chance encounter at sea, the enchanting and elegant Lady Kay, played by Elizabeth Broadhurst (Mary Poppins). The production also features Nic Thompson (Mary Poppins) as Bootlegger/ Song and Dance man, Larry Potter.
Other featured performers include Joel Briel, Samantha Gershman, Meghan Glogower, Howard Kaye, Nick Locilento, Shelby Ringdahl, Danny Vacarro.
The ensemble features Maria Briggs, Desi Davar, Katie Mebane Harvey, Nick Jones, Anthony Laguardia, Elliot Marach, Chris McNiff, Sarah Claire Smith.
This 1926 zany comedy, introduced the world to such Gershwin classics as "Fidgety Feet", "Clap 'yo Hands", and the iconic "Someone to Watch Over Me". Produced by Musicals, Tonight! the show is a fully staged and choreographed reading. Direction and Choreography by Casey Colgan, with Musical Direction by James Stenborg.
