BIOGRAPHIES

NOAH DIAMOND (Playwright/Director) is the co-artistic director of NERO FIDDLED. With his collaborator Amanda Sisk, he has written, produced and directed each of the NERO FIDDLED theatrical productions: City Under Siege (Under St. Marks, 2004), Burning Bush: A Faith-Based Musical (HERE Arts Center, 2005), Moral Value Meal (Urban Stages, 2006), 400 Years in Manhattan (HERE, 2007), and now Life After Bush. Diamond and Sisk are also the authors of the NERO FIDDLED political blog (nerofiddled.net), and Diamond was a founding member of BlogCall, a series of conference calls for political bloggers organized by Bob Fertik of democrats.com. Prior to NERO FIDDLED, Noah wrote and performed in a series of original plays and musicals, including Love and Cheese (Opus Theatre, Ft. Lauderdale), The Men in Mabel's Life (Township Center for Performing Arts, Coconut Creek) and Missing Manhattan (Under St. Marks). He spent seven years working as a New York City tour guide, and his tour has been featured on NY1 and Comedy Central. Earlier this year, he published his first book, 400 Years in Manhattan, based on the NERO FIDDLED show of the same name.

AMANDA SISK (Playwright/Director) began her life when she was born and not one second before. She has been obsessed with politics and theatre ever since. Originally from a small town in Arkansas, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee as a child, and to New York, her real hometown, ten years ago. She is the co-artistic director of NERO FIDDLED, and with her collaborator Noah Diamond, she has written, produced and directed City Under Siege (Under St. Marks, 2004), Burning Bush: A Faith-Based Musical (HERE Arts Center, 2005), Moral Value Meal (Urban Stages, 2006), 400 Years in Manhattan (HERE, 2007), and now Life After Bush. Diamond and Sisk are also the authors of the NERO FIDDLED political blog (nerofiddled.net). In addition to her work with NERO FIDDLED, Amanda's favorite roles include Squeaky Fromme in Assassins (McCoy Theatre, Memphis), Elizabeth in Richard III (McCoy Theatre), and Tecmessa in Tecmessa (The Kitchen). She was a co-founder of Memphis's Lanka Lounge Theatre. Amanda is dedicated to saving the world, one musical at a time.

ABOUT NERO FIDDLED: Shortly after the start of the Iraq War, Noah Diamond and Amanda Sisk began writing political commentary and satire for a blog they called NERO FIDDLED - the title of a musical they'd written and shelved. The first stage production from NERO FIDDLED was City Under Siege , a satire of the 2004 Republican National Convention. The second, Burning Bush: A Faith-Based Musical, enjoyed a sold-out, extended run at HERE Arts Center in 2005; it was the first musical based on a blog. It was followed by Moral Value Meal, which examined the hypocrisies of the Bush regime's "culture of life." The final installment in the Burning Bush trilogy, Life After Bush, premieres in October 2008. In addition to its political series, NERO FIDDLED produced 400 Years in Manhattan, a multimedia history of New York City, and published Diamond's book of the same name.
