The Drama Book Shop will welcome producers Tom Kirdahy and Devlin Elliott for a discussion about the new off-Broadway sensation White Rabbit Red Rabbit. Playwright Nassim Soleimanpour will Skype into the conversation. The event, which is free to the public, will take place this Wednesday, August 24th at 5:00PM.

In White Rabbit Red Rabbit, the performer has never seen the script before it begins. Like the audience, they are encountering Soleimanpour's words for the first time. White Rabbit Red Rabbit has been called a play. But it's a lively, global sensation that no-one is allowed to talk about. Its award-winning playwright, Nassim Soleimanpour, is Iranian. His words have escaped censorship and are awaiting your audience. Slyly humorous and audaciously pointed, this 'theater entertainment meets social experiment' is unlike anything, and will make you question everything. A portion of the play's profits go to PEN International, the world's leading association of writers working to promote literature and defend freedom of expression around the world (www.pen-international.org).

Tom Kirdahy is the lead producer of the upcoming stage adaptation of the new Broadway musical ANASTASIA, and lead producer of last season's runaway hit IT'S ONLY A PLAY on Broadway and the five-time Tony Nominated Broadway premiere of THE VISIT. Tom has previously been nominated for Tony Awards for MOTHERS AND SONS, AFTER MIDNIGHT, as well as his revivals of RAGTIME and MASTER CLASS on Broadway. Additionally, Kirdahy was lead producer of the West End revival of MASTER CLASS starring Tyne Daly. Additional Credits include THE VISIT (Williamstown Theatre Festival), DEUCE (marking Angela Lansbury's return to the stage), AMERICAN FIESTA (Vineyard Theatre), UNUSAL ACTS OF DEVOTION (Philadelphia Theatre Company/La Jolla Playhouse), CORPUS CHRISTI (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater), AFRAID OF THE DARK (London's West End), and SOME MEN at Second Stage Theatre (Drama Desk nomination, Best Play). He is also a founding director of Berwin Lee London New York Playwrights, Inc. Kirdahy studied politics and dramatic literature at New York University and is a graduate of NYU School of Law. As an attorney, Kirdahy spent nearly two decades providing free legal services to people living with HIV/AIDS. He is the Vice Chair of The Broadway League Government Relations Committee.

Devlin Elliott is a Tony nominated Broadway, Off Broadway and West End Producer. On Broadway, he's produced RAGTIME; DEUCE, starring Angela Lansbury; MASTER CLASS starring Tyne Daly. In the West End: AFRAID OF THE DARK and the revival of MASTER CLASS. Off-Broadway and Regional: WHITE RABBIT, RED RABBIT(Westside Theatre), UNUSUAL ACTS OF DEVOTION (Philadelphia Theater Company and LaJolla), AMERICAN FIESTA (Vineyard Theater). As a writer, Devlin has written the play BROKEN and his children's picture book series Naughty Mabel and Naughty Mabel Sees It All is published by Simon and Schuster. TV: Exec Producer, Writer of "Naughty Mabel" which is now in development at Nickelodeon.
