NEVER Norman RockWELL: A Post-Modern Gay Bromance TO PREMIERE IN Manhattan Repertory Theatre'S GLBT FESTIVAL IN NOV
Written by Kyle Baxter (I Hate Love at the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival), Never Norman Rockwell, a new spin on the classic coming out story, will be premiering at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre as part of its GAY AND LESBIAN PLAY SERIES, November 2009. Presented by The Collective Objective (I Hate Love and The Sword Politik), the production will feature direction by Anthony Gargano (Initial Sin).
In Never Norman Rockwell, Dan and Shelly are getting married. In the morning-after haze of Dan's bachelor party, his roommate Jack delivers the news that he's gay! Or maybe he's bi, Jack's a bit murky on the details. But what does this say about their friendship and why did Jack reveal it now? It turns out Jack's new boyfriend is the bride-to-be's brother, Mark, and with Saturday golf with the fathers, and even a pre-nup pregnancy, anything can happen. But one thing is for sure, this unpredictable post-modern screwball comedy will leave the audience in stitches.Videos
