Unique Collaboration WITH DC-BASED WOOLLY MAMMOTH THEATRE COMPANY Inspired by their production of Gregory S. Moss' HOUSE OF GOLD Will Air on naked radio and radio woolly BEGINNING TODAY, OCTOBER 26

Naked Angels and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company (Washington, DC) team up for a unique co-production podcast series inspired by the themes of House of Gold, Woolly's world premiere of Gregory S. Moss' darkly funny inquest into the fate of a certain six-year-old beauty queen, playing in Washington, DC from November 1 - November 28, 2010. The co-production podcast series will be released beginning October 26 leading up to the first performance of House of Gold on November 1, and will be available on Naked Radio and Radio Woolly, both of which are available for download on iTunes.

This unique co-production podcast series includes episodes entitled Childhood (Sucks!) written by Cathleen Carr, Daiva Deupree and Will Rogers; Crime written by Sarah Burgess, Eric Clem and Adam Lustick; Miniatures written by Lauren Blumenfeld, Bekah Brunstetter and Dylan Dawson; and Tabloid/Sensationalism written by Lucas Kavner, Roger Lirtsman and Josh Koenigsberg. The co-production podcast series is directed by Kerry Whigham and recorded by Grammy Award-winner Zane Birdwell. Naked Radio is produced for Naked Angels by Brittany O'Neill.

Naked Radio is a program that brings the work of Naked Angels from the stage to the digital airwaves. The Naked Angels Writers Room meets every week, creating original content in podcast, video, and blog form. Each podcast episode is centered around a theme or incident and produced as audio plays, satirical sketch comedy, real-life interviews, short documentaries, musical performances and more. The content is available at nakedangels.com/nakedradio.

Radio Woolly is Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company's very own radio station. Radio Woolly podcasts every Wednesday, and features interviews with Woolly staff members, playwrights, artists, and community members. Launched in the spring of 2010, Radio Woolly is part of Woolly's new media and connectivity initiative, which aims to bring uniquely designed audiences to each production to expand and deepen the conversation engendered by the play.

Naked Angels' Associate Artistic Director Andy Donald launched Naked Radio as a way to use podcasts and blogs as a forum to bring new audiences, artists and collaborators together. He said, "Naked Radio seeks to break out of the literal walls of a theatre space, adapting Naked Angels' signature style to new forms of creative content via the 'digital age' we live in. Not only does it help expose these talented writers to new audiences, but as this event shows, it sets up immediate ways for us to collaborate with like-minded companies like Woolly - whether they are down the street or hundreds of miles away."
