NAAP Presents OLIVER!, Starring An All-Asian Cast, 6/5-7

New York--True to its core mission of showcasing the talents of Asian-American theater artists, National Asian Artists Project (NAAP), which presented the Broadway musical "Hello, Dolly!" last year, is now facing the challenge of staging Lionel Bart's beloved Broadway musical OLIVER!, featuring a 65-member all-Asian cast made up of 20 child actors, including Bonale Zon Fambrini, who will play the title role; 25 professional adult actors; and 20 members of the NAAP Broadway Community Chorus.

NAAP Founders Baayork Lee and Steven Eng will choreograph and direct, respectively. Their reimagined production of OLIVER! will run at Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W 42nd St.) from Thursday, June 5 to Saturday, June 7.

Bart's musical OLIVER!, based on Charles Dickens' classic novel Oliver Twist, boasts popular showtunes such as "Food, Glorious Food," "I'd Do Anything," "Where Is Love?", "Consider Yourself," "As Long As He Needs Me," and "Who Will Buy?"

Also joining Fambrini are Raul Aranas (Fagin), Anthea Neri (Nancy), Timothy TV Cao (The Artful Dodger), Scott Watanabe (Mr. Bumble), Mel Sagrado Maghuyop (Bill Sikes), David Shih (Mr. Sowerberry), Tony Romero (Dr. Grimwig), Connor Johnson (Noah Claypole, Mr. Brownlow), Virginia Wing (Mrs. Bedwin), Cindy Cheung (Widow Corney), Kendyl Ito (Bet, Old Sally), Fay Ann Lee (Mrs. Sowerberry), and Rebecca Lee Lerman (Charlotte Sowerberry).

Kevin Farrell is musical director; Joe Sheridan, production stage manager; Jimm Halliday, costume designer; Susan Kikuchi, associate choreographer; Kyle Garvin, assistant choreographer; Jose Simbulan; children's musical director; Cassey Kikuchi Kivnick, assistant director; and Kirk Bookman, lighting designer.
