Tenderloin, based on a novel by Samuel Hopkins Adams, was produced on Broadway in 1960 by Harold Prince and Robert Griffith. It tells the tale of Dr. Brock, a crusading Minister who has dedicated himself to cleaning up that section of New York devoted to vice, the area known as the "Tenderloin". Naturally, those whose livelihoods depended on that vice dedicated themselves to seeing that Dr. Brock didn't succeed.
"We are a little sad to be at the final production of our Sheldon Harnick Musicals in Mufti Series, but that it is this wonderful show with this incredible cast makes it a happy ending indeed! Tenderloin has not been seen in a professional production in New York City in over 20 years-- and this is everyone's chance to see it with a stunning Broadway cast," said Producing Artistic Director, James Morgan.
The performance schedule for Tenderloin is Friday, March 7 at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8 at *2:30 p.m. & 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 9 at *2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. (*audience discussions follow the matinee performances).
