Following sold out performances at London's Finborough Theatre and the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, Matthew Wilkinson's MY EYES WENT DARK arrives at Brits Off Broadway. Inspired by true events, a Russian father is driven to revenge after losing his family in a plane crash. How far would you go to avenge the deaths of those you love?

Declan Conlon (Quietly at the Irish Rep) and Thusitha Jayasundera (War Horse at The National Theatre) give "high octane" (Evening Standard) performances in this taut thriller, which was called "an extremely powerful play about justice, revenge and forgiveness" by Michael Billington in The Guardian. Nominated for three Off West End Theatre Awards.

The design team includes Bethany Wells (set and costume design); Elliot Griggs (lighting design); and Max Pappenheim (sound design). The production stage manager is Veronica Aglow.

Matthew Wilkinson (playwright/director) trained at RADA and has performed in theater, TV, film and animation. He wrote and directed My Eyes Went Dark (Finborough Theatre / Traverse Theatre), Sun Is Shining (King's Head Theatre / BAC Time Out Critics' Choice Season / 59E59 Theaters), Red Sea Fish (Brighton Pavilion Theatre / 59E59 Theaters), and Just Let Go (Chisenhale Dance Space). He co-adapted Hideki Noda's Red Demon (Young Vic / Tokyo). His short films have screened internationally.
