Performances begin today (Wednesday, May 22nd) for Marvell Repertory Theatre's production of ANTIGONE directed by Marvell Rep Artistic Director Lenny Leibowitz in repertory with the world premiere of MOMMALOGUES by Sharon Lee Glassman and Gretchen Klinedinst Furst and directed by William Sanders at the TBG Theatre (312 West 36th street, 3rd Floor) in Manhattan.
ANTIGONE and MOMMALOGUES will have opening performances on Friday, May 24 at 11am and 8pm respectively and will run through June 2.Marvell Rep's production of ANTIGONE will invoke the classic casting convention of Sophocles' time, having three actors play all of the major roles, supported by a two-person Chorus.The cast of ANTIGONE will feature Bonnie Fraser as Antigone, Haimon and Tiresias (Marvell Rep's "Flirtation," "Phantom the Las Vegas Spectacular"); KC Wright as Ismene, The Sentry, The Little Boy and the Messenger (Boardwalk Empire); Kevin Gilmartin as Kreon (Marvell Rep's "Night Games" and "Professor Bernhardi"); Geddeth Smith as the Chorus Leader (last seen on Broadway in "Waiting in the Wings"); and Peter Judd as the other member of the Chorus ("An Ideal Husband," "The Cherry Orchard").Videos
