MYSTERY OF THE FAMILY JEWELS to Play The Laurie Beechman Theater, 4/1-5/15

After an acclaimed downtown premiere earlier this year, NASTY DREW AND THAT HARDER BOY: THE MYSTERY OF THE FAMILY JEWELS heads to Times Square for a limited run at The Laurie Beechman Theater beginning April 1. This live theatrical parody of teen detective novels of a bygone era co-stars two of burlesque's hottest performers, Chris Harder and Nasty Canasta, in an evening that blends theater, comedy, mystery, drag, and stripping. Performances are Fridays April 1, 29 & May 13 at 10pm and Sundays May 1 & 15 at 9:30pm. The Laurie Beechman Theater is located inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street -- at Ninth Avenue, accessible from the A,C,E,N,R,V,F,1,2,3 trains at 42nd Street. NASTY DREW AND THAT HARDER BOY: THE MYSTERY OF THE FAMILY JEWELS begins when Lady Dubois' family jewels are mysteriously snatched. Teen detectives Nasty Drew and that Harder boy must team up to take down the brazen thief. Using a tangle of polyester weave as their first clue, Nasty and Harder peel their way through a long list of seedy suspects in this alternately erotic and comic thriller.

In addition to Nasty Canasta, the 9-member cast is culled from a rotating roster of performers including Honey Davenport (Miss'd America 2014), Tigger! (the original King of Boylesque), Bastard Keith (burlesque emcee extraordinaire), Fancy Feast (Miss Coney Island 2016), Alexis Michelle (So You Think You Can Drag winner 2014), Ben Franklin (hula hoop hunk and acrobat), Pearls Daily ("N.u.d.e nobility" -- Time Out), FiFi Dubois (Miss's America 2015), Poison Eve, Mr. Gorgeous (Mr. Exotic World 2014) and newcomer Trixie Phillips.. CHRIS HARDER (That Harder Boy) is a NYC based burlesque performer and producer. Known as "The Raunchy Romeo of Burlesque," Harder has stripped, shocked, and entertained in nightlife for the past 7 years and toured across the US and around the world with stops in L.A., San Francisco, New Orleans, Key West, London, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, Brussels, Stockholm, and Amsterdam. Named "Best of the Naked City" by the Village Voice in 2011, Harder was awarded "Best International Male Performer" at the 2012 London World Burlesque Games and was also an American headliner for the 2015 Vienna Boylesque Festival. NASTY CANASTA (Nasty Drew) is frequently hailed as a genius of the neo-burlesque scene. A "burlesque queen" (The NY Times) and Runner Up at the 2010 Miss Exotic World Pageant, Nasty is host and producer of Naked Girls Reading NYC and an associate producer with Wasabassco. A full-time burlesque performer, producer and costumer for the past decade, Nasty draws on her years of experience in the theatre to create acts and shows that combine tease and titillation, humor, spectacle and theatricality. She teaches private and group burlesque classes, has performed across the US and in Canada and Europe, and worked as a snake charmer and contortionist with the world-famous Coney Island Circus Sideshow in Brooklyn, NY.
