My Name Is Asher Lev (www.AsherLevThePlay.com) will conclude its critically acclaimed run at The Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street) on September 1st. My Name is Asher Lev began performances on November 8, 2012 and will have played 341 performances.

Currently, talks are underway for productions of Asher Lev in Los Angeles, Chicago, and London, among others.

Directed by Gordon Edelstein (Long Warf Theater Artistic Director), My Name is Asher Lev features Ari Brand (Broadway Bound, directed by David Cromer), who plays Asher Lev in this breakout performance. The show also stars Mark Nelson (nine Broadway productions including After The Fall, The Invention of Love, A Few Good Men; Obie Award winner for Picasso at the Lapin Agile) and Jenny Bacon (Heartless, Omnium Gatherum).

Set in post-war Brooklyn, My Name is Asher Lev tells the coming-of-age story of a boy prodigy who must be an artist at any cost -- against the will of family, community and tradition. It is the powerful telling of a young artist with a universal theme to follow our passion - against everything.

The distinguished creative team for My Name is Asher Lev includes set design by Eugene Lee (Wicked); lighting design by James F. Ingalls (Glengarry Glen Ross); costume design by Ilona Somogyi (Clybourne Park) and original music/sound design by John Gromada (Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Proof). My Name is Asher Lev is produced by Darren Bagert, Martin Massman, Ruth Hendel, Daryl Roth, Sharon Karmazin, Joan Raffe & Jhett Tolentino, HIGHBROW, Ted Snowdon and Jamie deRoy.

My Name is Asher Lev has the following performance schedule: Monday at 8pm, Wednesday at 2pm and 8pm, Thursday at 8pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm and Sundays at 3pm.
