Critics and audiences are raving about My Name is Asher Lev which the New York Times calls "Excellent and Heartfelt....A primal scene of American drama" and Time Out New York makes it a FOUR STAR/Critic's Pick. David Cote/NY1 News praises the show as "a touching and soulful portrait of a family, saturated with vivid colors and handsomely framed," while Huffington Post exclaims "One of the Best Play of the Year! Thrilling and Suspenseful."
Directed by Gordon Edelstein (The Glass Menagerie), the production at The Westside Theatre (upstairs) features Ari Brand (Broadway Bound, directed by David Cromer), who plays Asher Lev in this breakout performance. My Name is Asher Lev also stars Mark Nelson (nine Broadway productions including After The Fall, The Invention of Love, A Few Good Men; Obie Award winner for Picasso at the Lapin Agile) and Ilana Levine (Wrong Mountain, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Last Night of Ballyhoo, Jake's Women.)

The distinguished creative team for My Name is Asher Lev includes set design by Eugene Lee (Wicked); lighting design by James F. Ingalls(Glengarry Glen Ross); costume design by Ilona Somogyi (Clybourne Park) and original music/sound design by John Gromada (Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Proof). My Name is Asher Lev is produced by Darren Bagert, Martin Massman, Ruth Hendel, Daryl Roth, Sharon Karmazin, Joan Raffe & Jhett Tolentino, HIGHBROW, Ted Snowdon and Jamie deRoy.
My Name is Asher Lev extends at The Westside Theatre now through September 1, 2013.
