Dr. James Peterson, Director of Africana Studies and Associate Professor of English at Lehigh University, will moderate the first Breakfast With Mugabe Wednesday Night Talk Back, today, January 15 immediately following the evening performance.
Dr. Peterson can be seen as a regular contributor on MSNBC's political talk shows, as well as on CNN and other networks, where he brings his breadth of knowledge to conversations focused on race relations, culture, entertainment and current political hot topics.
Members of the cast will join Dr. Peterson on stage, for what promises to be an insightful discussion centered on the play and some of the broader issues of post- colonialism that it covers. An audience Q&A is included.
The Wednesday Night Talk Back Series will continue throughout the run of the play. Other renowned guest moderators, like Cheryl Wills, nationally recognized television personality, host and the author of the acclaimed autobiography, "Die Free: A Heroic Family Tale," are scheduled and will be announced in the coming weeks.
Breakfast With Mugabe is a New York Times and Time Out NY Critics' Pick -- an award- winning thriller that is both timely and relevant. The play is currently at The Lion Theatre on Theatre Row for a limited engagement, through March 2nd.
