MOB WIVES' Karen Gravano to Make Off-Broadway Debut in MY BIG GAY ITALIAN FUNERAL

Karen Gravano is set to take on the role of "Fonzina Fucci" in the hit Off-Broadway comedy "My Big Gay Italian Funeral" now in it's second year opposite her partner in crime David Nissan (Alessio) and creator Anthony J. Wilkinson. Gravano who made her first cameo two years ago in "My Big Gay Italian Wedding," when she stepped in to officiate the wedding of Anthony and Andrew in support of marriage equality, returns to St. Luke's Theatre in her first theatrical acting role.

Karen Gravano who is most currently known as a star of VH1's hit reality show "Mob Wives," is also known as an author having recently released her autobiography. Karen has focused on other business endeavors and has become a music production partner with the new pop group "The Girlz," which includes her daughter Karina. Gravano who is clearly no stranger in supporting the gay community, is very excited to be making her official acting debut in NYC theatre along side one of her best friends David Nissan who will be making his encore that night in the role of the neurotic club owner "Alessio."

My Big Gay Italian Funeral, is presented by Bianco Productions. Both My Big Gay Italian Wedding and Funeral are directed by Emmy Award-winning director Sonia Blangiardo ("All My Children", "One Life To Live, "As the World Turns", "Tainted Dreams") and star its creator Anthony J. Wilkinson who originated the role of Anthony Pinnunziato back in November of 2003. Both shows are General Managed by 22Q Entertainment.

The cast of Funeral currently includes Anthony J. Wilkinson as Anthony, Hugh Hysell as Maurizio, Donna Castellano as Angela, Marissa Rosen as Maria, Debra Toscano as Toniann, Liz Gerecitano as Lucia, Meagan Robar as Connie/Eva/Aunt Donna, Erik Ransom as Diamondelle/Vidal, Chad Kessler as Rabbi Howie Horowitz/Lou/Pontessa, Taso Mikroulis as Peter, Frank Sorrentino as Dominick, Sal Pavia as Ezio, and Beth Dzuricky as Ondine.
