Midnight in Havana, the revolutionary new theater experience written by veteran New York Daily News writer-editor Robert Dominguez, will begin performances at Times Square's Snapple Theater Center this Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10:30pm. The production was originally scheduled to open on October 15 at The Theaters at 45 Bleecker Street.
Midnight in Havana is a unique theatrical experience set in a seedy Havana nightclub against the backdrop of the Cuban Revolution. With its nightclub setting and classic Cuban music, Midnight in Havana transports audiences back to the exciting and dangerous hours before Batista will flee, Castro will take over and everyone's lives - including the club's sexy showgirls, conniving emcee and slippery owner - will change forever.
The cast of Midnight in Havana features Andres "Chulisi" Rodriguez, Jeannie Sol, Alex Vallecillo Bone, Jaclyn Ramos, Eric Robledo, Catalina Plaza, Wilson Flores, Scotty Batista, Justin Kircks, Luis Bordoy, Jose E. Figueroa Jr., Ydaiber Orozco, Tiffany Huet and Freia Canals. Dominguez, whose other plays include The Outside Man, Faded and Men Are Real, is also the director. Vivian "Zenaide" Garcilazo and Altagracia Bruno are the choreographers.
Tickets for the 10:30pm performances on October 22 and October 29 are currently on sale by calling the box office at (212) 921-7862 or visiting Ticketmaster.com. All seats are $25. Additional performance dates and times will be released in the near future.
