Prospect Theater Company(Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) concludes their Dark Night's Series with MAP Quest. After visiting a "mystery address" assigned by Prospect, seven Music Theater writing teams wrote short musicals inspired by their respective trips. Among the inspiring locations are a Buddhist Temple next to the Fung Wah bus, a Bollywood Movie theater in Jackson Heights, a Super Hero Supply Store in Park Slope, and the now closed Oscar Wilde Gay and Lesbian Bookstore. Performed by a cast of Prospect veterans and directed by Dev Bondarin, MAP Quest will be presented on the set of the final production of Prospect's 10th Anniversary season, Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge, at 59E59 Theaters,(59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues) April 25th @ 3:15pm, April 26th @ 7:15pm and April 28th @ 7:15pm. Known both for its development of new musicals and its engaging interpretations of classic plays, Prospect strives to build bridges between artists and audiences, and to connect theater's present to its past-in order to build its future. Adapted from J. M. Synge's The Playboy of the Western World by Peter Mills and director Cara Reichel, Golden Boy features an original bluegrass score by Peter Mills and Direction by Cara Reichel. Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge is the 10th new musical Peter Mills has written for Prospect Theater Company since 2000.
