Made in Heaven, the new comedy by Jay Bernzweig, directed by Andrew Shaifer, which won the ‘Outstanding Production of a Play Award' at the 2009 Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival, will end its run at the Soho Playhouse on Monday, December 7th, 2009.

After long deliberations with the management of the Soho Playhouse over the holiday weekend, the producers of Made in Heaven have agreed to end the comedy's run after the December 7th benefit performance for the Soho Partnership (the run was scheduled to conclude January 3rd), allowing a commercial transfer for Irish Repertory's production of The Emperor Jones.

According to Made in Heaven's lead producer, Barbara Ligeti, "We agonized over this decision. And while we were shocked to read an announcement that The Emperor Jones would be moving into our contracted venue, the Soho Playhouse made us a very favorable offer, and we felt that sparring with them, to the detriment of the Irish Rep's wonderful production, would be counterproductive and mean-spirited."

Made in Heaven began previews on Thursday, October 22nd and opened to favorable reviews on Monday, November 2nd.

A Los Angeles production and return New York engagement will be announced soon.

In Made in Heaven, conjoined twins Max and Benjie share everything -- a life, a career, even a penis. But when they plan to propose marriage to their mutual girlfriend, Benjie reveals a secret so big it threatens to tear the brothers apart. Family ties are put to the ultimate test in this irreverent comedy about love in all its various forms -- and the messy complications that invariably get in its way.

The full cast of Made in Heaven includes Alex Anfanger, Matthew Bondy, Kevin Thomas Collins and Maia Madison. The comedy is produced by Barbara Ligeti, Andrew Shaifer and Victor Syrmis.

The creative team for Made in Heaven includes Lex Liang (Scenic Design), Jeffrey Wallach (Costume Design), Kia Rogers (Lighting Design) and Stephanie Raines (Props Master).
