NEUROSIS, a new musical with a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards, has announced casting for its New York City premiere. Directed by Andy Sandberg (Straight, Application Pending) and choreographed by Shea Sullivan (Pageant), NEUROSIS begins performances July 25, 2018 and officially opens on August 17 at the DR2 Theatre (103 E 15th St, New York, NY).
A modern musical comedy with a psychiatric twist, NEUROSIS is a story about finding happiness, falling in love, and dealing with that little voice in your head along the way.
NEUROSIS will feature Jennifer Blood (Matilda) as "Abby," two-time Tony Award nominee Joel Blum (Steel Pier; Show Boat) as "Kenny," Brennan Caldwell(Baghdaddy) as "Neurosis," Susan J. Jacks (Ionescopade) as "Geri," Lacretta (Disaster!) as "Samantha," Alex Lewis ("Dexter") as "Frank," and Morgan Weed (American Psycho) as "Neurosalina."
NEUROSIS features Music Direction by David Aaron Brown, Scenic Design by Charlie Corcoran (Shining City, Irish Rep), Lighting Design by Jake DeGroot (Oh, Hello), Costume Design by Tony Award nominee Michael McDonald (Hair), Sound Design by David Sanderson (Pageant), Casting by Jason Styres, CSA & Andrea Zee, CSA, and the production stage manager is Gregory Fletcher.
The performance schedule for NEUROSIS is Wednesdays at 7:30pm, Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 8pm, and Saturdays at 2:30pm.
