GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS, a division of Sh-K-Boom Records, is proud to announce the premiere recording of Little Fish, which was called "a stylish new musical" by The New York Times. Inspired by the short stories of Deborah Eisenberg, the show has words and music by Michael John LaChuisa. The recording, based on the musical's west coast premiere presented by the Blank Theatre Company, is made possible by the Shen Family Foundation. The CD, produced by Joel Moss and Kurt Deutsch, will be available in stores and online on September 9, 2008. The album is currently available for pre-order at http://sh-k-boom.com/LittleFish.shtml.

The label will celebrate the release with a special concert at Joe's Pub on September 8 at 9:30 PM. The show will feature an all-star line-up including cast members Alice Ripley, Gregory Jbara and Dina Morishita, as well as special guests Lea Delaria, Mary Testa, Judy Kuhn, Julia Murney, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Matthew Morrison, Andrew Samonsky, Gavin Creel and Kate Shindle. They will be performing selections from Little Fish, in addition to LaChiusa's musicals See What I Wanna See and Bernarda Alba - both of which also have cast recordings available on Ghostlight - along with surprises from the composer/lyricist's catalog. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at joespub.com or (212) 539-8778.

The cast of the CD includes Alice Ripley (as Charlotte), Chad Kimball (Marco), Gregory Jbara (Mr. Bunder), Robert Torti (Robert), Dina Morishita (Kathy), German Santiago (John Paul), Samantha Shelton (Cinder) and Brooke Tansley (Anne). It features orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin and Musical Director David O on keyboards leading a six piece band.

Little Fish follows Charlotte, a young writer of short stories, who confronts her past, present and future in post 9/11 Manhattan. She quits smoking and embarks on a modern day odyssey as she attempts to fill her nicotine-starved days with swimming at the Y. The show debuted at New York's Second Stage Theatre in 2003.

Sh-K-Boom and Ghostlight Records has confirmed plans to present a weekly concert series at Joe's Pub in New York. Every Monday night at 11:30 PM, beginning in September and continuing through December, the label will offer concerts featuring Broadway performers and composers, "midnight musicals" with concert versions of new and developing productions, and much more.

The concert series will coincide with the 10th Anniversary celebration of Joe's Pub, and marks a throwback to the early days of Sh-K-Boom Records, when they offered popular late night concerts in their 'Sh-K-Boom Room'. Sh-K-Boom and Ghostlight Records is committed to bringing the music of the "New Broadway" to the next generation of Broadway music fans via modern technologies such as iTunes and music videos.

As a label created by-and-for the Broadway community, their upcoming concert series reflects a renewed embrace of the essence of what makes Broadway great - live performances by extraordinary artists. In years past, every "Sh-K-Boom Room" concert was sold-out...expect similar demand for the label's upcoming concert series at Joe's Pub.
