LAByrinth Theater Company (John Ortiz, Artistic Director; Philip Seymour Hoffman, Co-Artistic Director; John Gould Rubin, Co-Artistic & Executive Director) announces complete casting for its development production of Philip Roth in Khartoum by David Bar Katz, which kicks off the second season of Public LAB at The Public Theater. Directed by John Gould Rubin, the cast features Amelia Campbell, Elizabeth Canavan, Alexander Chaplin, David Deblinger, Jamie Klassel, Michael Puzzo, Jenna Stern, and Victor Williams. Performances begin Thursday, December 4th for a limited run through Sunday, December 21st at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street).

Philip Roth in Khartoum received its first reading at LAB’s 2007 Summer Intensive program and was presented at last year’s Barns Series. LAB Company Member
Eric Bogosian describes Mr. Katz as "An important, incisive, scary, funny playwright. Always full of surprises."
The creative team includes Chris Barreca (Set), Daphne Javitch (Costumes), Japhy Weideman (Lighting), and Elizabeth Rhodes (Sound). The Production Stage Manager is Meredith Dixon.
Philip Roth in Khartoum launches the second season of Public LAB. Public LAB is an annual series of new plays that lets you see more of the work you love from LAByrinth Theater Company and The Public in scaled-down productions for only $10. Public LAB allows us to support more artists, and gives you immediate access to new plays in development.
Philip Roth in Khartoum will play the following performance schedule: Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., Sundays at 7:00 p.m. with matinees on Sunday, December 14th and Saturday, December 20th at 2:00 p.m. Please note, there is no performance Sunday, December 7th.
