54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, and KulturfestNYC present "Another Hundred Years" tonight, August 5th at 9:30pm.

Performed by a Broadway cast "Another 100 Years", part of KulturfestNYC's Encore Series features popular show tunes of our time spanning from Tin Pan Alley to Broadway, from operettas to contemporary musical theatre -- celebrating the influence Yiddish and Jewish culture has had and continues to have on shaping The Great White Way. From Irving Berlin to Rodgers and Hart to Comden and Green to Sheldon Harnick to Stephen Sondheim to Jason Robert Brown the Yiddish influence of Broadway's music and lyrics has carried from one century onto the next.

The concert is produced in conjunction with National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's [NYTF] historic 101st Season and is performed in English. Three special guest contemporary songwriters will premiere their new work at the end of the evening.

"We're passing along the torch," says KulturfestNYC's Executive Director Bryna Wasserman. "It's an homage to that which was and some insight to what's around the corner."

There's a bright future for musical theatre," adds Artistic Director Zalmen Mlotek, "and it's our delight to put a spotlight on it and in working with the Broadway community to bring this concert to 54 Below."

The cast is comprised of Loni Ackerman (Evita, Cats), Lawrence Craig (Baz Luhrmann's La Bohème), Russell Fischer (currently Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys), Andrew Keltz (The Golden Land), Garth Kravitz (The Drowsy Chaperone), Elyssa Brette Mactas (Mean - The P!ink musical, Chix 6), Maddy Trumble (Newsies, Wicked), Jessica Mortellaro (Into the Woods), Martina Weidenbaum, Alan Wiggins (Beautiful The Carole King Musical, The Lion King). More artists will be announced in the coming week.

"Another Hundred Years" is conceived and produced by Chris Massimine, KulturfestNYC's Executive Producer and COO of NYTF, Jamibeth Margolis and Megan Minutillo. Minutillo will also direct. Ben Krauss (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) will provide Music Direction.

"Another Hundred Years" plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on August 5th at 9:30pm. There is a $25-55 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com and www.nytf.org. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00pm are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, is the new performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife. A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, 54 BELOW is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage. Located at 254 West 54th Street, 54 BELOW features up to three shows nightly with cover charges ranging from $15-$95.

KulturfestNYC, the first international Jewish performing arts festival, was presented by National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, UJA-Federation of New York and Capital One Bank. Playing June 14-21, the Festival featured over 120 events from 6 continents in more than 24 venues throughout New York City. Within its 8 days, the Festival yielded over 50,000 attendees. Due to its popularity the Festival had added an Encore Series that will feature new and revisited acts that will continue throughout the season.

Since 1915, the award-winning NATIONAL YIDDISH THEATRE FOLKSBIENE [NYTF] mission is to celebrate the Jewish experience through the performing arts and to transmit a rich cultural legacy in exciting new ways NYTF is entering its 101st Season with a new artistic home at The Museum of Jewish Heritage.
