Katie Goodman's BROAD COMEDY to Return Off-Broadway This Winter ImageDue to popular demand, YouTube sensation Katie Goodman's Broad Comedy will return to the SoHo Playhouse beginning January 29, 2018.

The internationally-touring riotous, ridiculous, and in-your-face all-women troupe, Broad Comedy, stars Danielle Cohn, Molly Kelleher, Tana Sirois, Carlita Victoria and Katie Goodman.

Broad Comedy played the SoHo Playhouse last May in a limited three-show run and is being welcomed back for an official Off-Broadway run, playing Mondays at 7:30pm through March 26 at the Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by visiting www.sohoplayhouse.com.

Ever wonder what would happen if Kate McKinnon and Samantha Bee had a child and hired Tim Minchin as the manny? We have the answer! Bringing you politically savvy comedy since 2001, Broad Comedy is a nationally touring, award-winning, all-women musical comedy and sketch troupe that is made up of five irreverent, hilarious, and ridiculously talented women to whom nothing is sacred-except an unflinching and uproarious look at our culture. Just when you need them most, the Broads are here-as Gloria Steinem said about them-to "help you laugh at the bastards." ...Though you might think twice before bringing your conservative mother-in-law!

A YouTube sensation, Goodman has turned some heads with over three million views, from her viral "I Didn't F*ck It Up," to the anthem "Sorry Babe, You're a Feminist," to her take on Park Slope life with her notorious video "Sh!t Park Slope Parents Say."

Katie Goodman is an award-winning musical comic, actress, author, speaker, and social activist. She has been seen on Showtime's The Green Room with Paul Provenza, on Current TV as a pundit, and on TruTV. She recently signed with Comedy Dynamics, North American's largest independent record label. Her comedy music videos have amassed 3 million hits on Youtube and several more million on Facebook. Katie is also a featured blogger for The Huffington Post, has contributed to O, The Oprah Magazine and is the author of Improvisation For The Spirit and the new funny children's book, The Night Our Parents Went Out. She is a nationally touring keynote speaker on the topic of using the tools of improv comedy in everyday life. She is the creator and headliner of "Broad Comedy," an internationally touring satirical musical show that she and her husband Soren Kisiel write and direct. Her solo show is presently playing in New York City where she received a Time Out New York Critic's Pick for Best Cabaret, and Broad Comedy opens its Off-Broadway run this spring. Katie and Soren were nominated for The EPIC Award from The White House Project and for the MacArthur Foundation's "Genius Grant" for their unique work in theatre.

Katie's new album Halfway Closer To Dead-a follow-up to the highly acclaimed I Didn't F*ck It Up-is a feisty (and NSFW!) tour de force of songs from rock to rap to mock-opera. This second hilarious album is smart, political, and deeply personal with songs ranging from her YouTube viral hit "If You're Homophobic, You're Probably Gay" to the irreverent "Boobs Look Funny When You're Having Sex" to slam dunks taking on The Tea Party and climate change deniers. Plus, yeah, sex jokes. Because, it's Katie.

THE SOHO PLAYHOUSE serves the downtown theater community as an historic 199 seat Off-Broadway venue. It was on this stage that Mr. Albee produced many first works of Terrance McNally, John Guare, Lanford Wilson, Sam Shephard, AR Gurney and LeRoi Jones. The Playhouse is on a mission to preserve and protect the wonderful artists that make up Off-Broadway's downtown theatre scene. Darren Lee Cole has been artistic director since 2004.
