Starring Kathleen Chalfant (Angles in America, Wit) and Victor Verhaeghe ("Boardwalk Empire") , the reading will take place on April 15 at 6PM at St. Michael's Recital Hall (225 W 99th Street, 2nd Floor) and is FREE to the public. To RSVP please email katie@royalfamilyproductions.org.

BED is about the misplacement of memories, uncovering them and then letting them go again. Jack and Violet have been married for 57 years and they have been sleeping in the same bed for just as long. Now they're stuck in it and have to find a way down - if they don't tear each other apart first. Together, by reliving some of the most painful moments in their marriage they rediscover their partnership or find it for the first time. They play, they dance, they chase, make love and war with each other on the bed. Will they ever get down from their bed or are they too settled in their ways to adapt?

Playwright Daniel Kwiatkowski is a writer/musician/actor originally from Northern Michigan. BED is Daniel's third full-length play and he is so excited to be working with Royal Family Productions. In 2009 Daniel was an artist in residence with Mabou Mines and wrote and performed in the performance piece titled Thirst. In 2011 he was selected for a three-week fellowship in Spoleto, Italy for playwriting under the Anna Mahler Foundation. Daniel is a founding member of Semi-Theatre Company. He is currently working on a collection of short stories about Northern Michigan and Daniel is a very proud member of the Roots/Americana/Desert Rock group The Hollows who are releasing their live album Neverending Show on April 23rd.
