THE BEATEN PATH is written by up and coming songwriter/lyricist Bobby Cronin. Most recently it was seen at The Music Theatre Company (formerly La Red Music Theatre) outside Chicago in the Summer of 2009, where is was reviewed as having "brilliant music and lyrics (all by the ingenious Cronin)" and "a promising future product." (Bill Beard, The Belvidere Daily Republican). This production brought together the talents of Jessica Redish (Adding Machine) and 2009 ASCAP Award Winner Bobby Cronin. Thanks to an enthusiastic audience member from Chicago, Bobby had the opportunity to visit a disciplinary camp in Utah where he experienced first hand the physically demanding and emotionally draining lifestyle.

The story follows a group of five teenagers sent off by their parents to a disciplinary camp where, led by two counselors, they are forced to face their deepest emotions and learn to survive life's greatest obstacles. The music in this show features the talents of a rock band led by Matt Hinkley (Rooms).
