John Glover to Star in The Acting Company's Reading of THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND at the Pearl, 1/13

The Acting Company will present a benefit staged reading of The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard at 7 pm on Monday, January 13 at the Pearl Theatre, 555 West 42nd Street (9th-10th Avenues). The performance--starring John Glover (Macbeth), Francesca Faridany (Macbeth), Julia Coffey, Lee Aaron Rosen Acting Company Members Sam Tsoutsouvas, Michele Tauber, Andy Weems, Stephen Pilkington (The Winslow Boy) and Andy Nagosky--will be followed by a reception with the cast and director, Ian Belknap, Artistic Director of The Acting Company. This special Staged Reading is presented in conjunction with The Acting Company's New York Season featuring Stoppard'sRosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead directed by John Rando (Urinetown, A Christmas Story, Carousel) in rotating repertory withHamlet, directed by Ian Belknap. John Rando returns to The Acting Company where he began his New York career as Staff Repertory Director and later directed Trevor Nunn's Comedy of Errors.

"It is hard to imagine a more perfect repertory in the classical theatrical canon than these two masterfully inventive explorations of the same story - one of nobility, one of commoners," John Rando said, "and I am thrilled to be back doing classics and being back at The Acting Company."

The Acting Company's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, will run in repertory from January 9- February 1 with Hamlet. Founded by John Houseman, Margot Harley, Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, David Schramm and David Ogden Stiers in 1972, TheActing Company has toured to 49 states and 10 foreign countries earning a TONY for Excellence in Theater, Obies, Audelcos and Los Angeles Critics Circle Awards. Rainn Wilson, Frances Conroy, Jeffrey Wright, Harriet Harris, Keith David, Hamish Linklater andJesse L. Martin are but a handful of other performers who began their careers on tour with The Acting Company.
