Claude Canny (Michael Sorvino) once a passionate sculptor and cartoonist, has lost his desire to create in John Bale's STUCK. His wife Connie Canny (Roberta MacIvor) is determined to revive his interest. The irony is Claude blames Connie for killing his need to create, by consuming him with her overbearing pursuit in making him successful and commercializing his work. Uta (Jacqueline Brookes), the next door neighbor, a Holocaust survivor and Homeopathic healer drops in to help Connie. Claudes' anger and resistance building throws Uta out and attacks Connie. As a result they have triplets. Each one an artist, struggles in his own way to survive...
Jacqueline Brookes (Uta) is making a rare stage appearance. This acclaimed actress has left an indelible mark on many for her roles in theater, film and television, originating the role Halie in the Pulitzer Prize winning play Buried Child, her amazing role in House of Blue Leaves won an Obie Award for her portrayal of St. Joan. Films include The Gambler and Naked Gun among others. Many TV credits Startreck, Law and Order paving the path for her trademark role in several soap operas. Brookes is now appearing in STUCK as a Holocaust survivor and a homeopathic healer.
Michael Sorvino (Claude) is continuing the Sorvino acting dynasty, following in the footsteps of his father Paul and sister Mira. Michael returns to NYC Theater after a triumphant debut in Cherry Hill, a play at Theater for the New City. Since then, Sorvino has been busy with film and TV having had a feature role in Lifetime's hit mini-series HUMAN TRAFFICKING. Now featuring as the lead role John Bale's STUCK as a once promising sculptor who has all but given up.
Roberta MacIvor (Connie) is a NYC actress who has appeared in many plays including THE CHALK GARDEN, I NEVER SANG FOR MY FATHER, and OUR TOWN. Film credits include I AM LEGEND, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. She plays the dynamic role of Connie in STUCK.
John Bale (PLAYWRIGHT) has been part of the NYC Theater Scene or 20 years as a playwright, actor, director, producer, and professor. Most recently THE DERAILEMENT OF PENNY FLYER, his musical based on the legendary singer Phoebe Snow which had a sold out at The Duplex Cabaret. Ms. Snow has shown great interest and called it absolutely fascinating. His plays have been seen in many venues throughout NYC and in Europe. He has worked in over 50 productions, many sold-out runs and award winning shows.
