Janozak Productions presents Sam's Romance, the new romantic comedy by Paul Manuel Kane, having its Off-Broadway premiere at the Actors Temple Theater (339 West 47th Street), beginning May 11th for an open-ended run. Hillary Spector directs a cast that includes Oni Brown, Lee Anne Hutchison, Ed Kershen, Todd Licea, and Neva Small. Opening Night is set for Sunday June 5th (7:30pm).

Sam's Romance is an edgy comedy about connections. People who make the wrong connection. People who don't connect no matter how they try. And, people who never connect but go on living with great expectations of connecting.

Paul Manuel Kane is a retired New York City public school teacher turned writer. After serving in the United States Army he used the G.I. bill to get his BA from the University of Wisconsin and his Masters Degree for New York University. Always a writer he turned to teaching English to pay the bills. He found that he was gifted at both and taught for thirty years. Since his retirement he has wasted no time writing many one act and full-length plays. Three of his full-length plays have been produced in New York City; Florabel at the Playbox Theatre, Red Wing at the 29th Street Theater, and Five New York Stories at the Aris Theatre. His one act My Brother Stosh was presented at the Turnip Theatre Festival and Duet in the Park won First Place in the Vancouver Playwriting Festival. Paul has been busy workshopping new plays including Harriet, Duet in a Dark Room, On-The-Merry-Go-Round, Jenny, Beautiful Dreamers, Two Yentas on the Patio, and F is For...! Paul is a member of the Dramatist Guild and NYC Playwrights.
