James LaRosa returns to the Off Broadway stage when he steps into the role of Anthony Pinnunziato in Off-Broadway's My Big Gay Italian Wedding at the St. Luke's Theatre tonight, October 4th at 8pm. He will take on the role, created and performed by Emmy Award winner, Anthony J. Wilkinson.
In addition to having also appeared as Anthony in My Big Gay Italian Funeral, LaRosa has been seen in such roles as Mark Cohen in RENT, Henry in Next to Normal, and his award winning portrayal of Abraham in Altar Boyz.
Presented by Bianco Productions, both 'Wedding' and 'Funeral' are directed by Emmy Award-winning director Sonia Blangiardo ("Tainted Dreams", "All My Children", "One Life To Live, "As the World Turns") and continue to star its creator Anthony J. Wilkinson who originated the role of Anthony Pinnunziato back in November of 2003. Both shows are General Managed by 22Q Entertainment.
The current cast of Wedding includes Anthony J. Wilkinson as Anthony, Hugh Hysell as Maurizio, Donna Castellano as Angela, Marissa Rosen as Maria, Debra Toscano as Toniann, Liz Gerecitano as Lucia, Meagan Robar as Connie, Erik Ransom as Rodney, Chad Kessler as Father Rosalia, Brandon Goins as Andrew, Joe Scanio as Joseph, BJ Gruber as Mario, Matt Gregorio as Frankie, Gabe Bowling as Gregorio, with ensemble members Marie Fontaine and Fred Ross.
St. Luke's Theatre is located at 308 West 46th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues).
