The Irish Repertory Theatre continues its 23rd Season with a special presentation of AN EVENING OF BACH featuring violinist Christina Prince, accompanied by Gerald Ranck on
harpsichord, and special guests.

ONE NIGHT ONLY! MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15

Off-Broadway's acclaimed Irish Repertory Theatre continues its 23rd Season with a special presentation of AN EVENING OF BACH, featuring violinist Christina Prince, accompanied by harpsichordist Gerald Ranck, and special guests on Monday, November 15 at 8pm at The Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street).

Master violinist Christina Prince, with special guests, will perform an evening of Johann Sebastian Bach's masterpieces, accompanied by renowned harpsichordist Gerald Ranck. Guest readers, to be announced, include actors from the Irish Repertory Theatre Company.

Christine Prince has participated in festivals including Academia Chigianna (Italy), the International Musicians' Seminar (Cornwall, U.K.), and the Hornby Island Festival (Canada). She performs regularly in several local chamber music series, including West Coast Chamber Music (Vancouver) and the Victoria Conservatory of Music's Faculty Concert series, which she founded and directed for 13 years.

Ms. Prince's eclectic musical interests include historically informed performance on period instruments and works by women composers. Christine has commissioned and premiered a number of works for the viola, including those of Canadian composers Steve Tittle, Sylvia Rickard, Stephen Brown, Wes Wraggett and Leila Lusitg. She has enjoyed an extensive career as an orchestral musician in Europe and North America. A former member of the Santa Barbara Symphony, Los Angeles Debut Orchestra, the Eugene Symphony and the Omroeporkest (Broadcasting Orchestra, Holland), she currently plays in the Victoria Symphony, the Vancouver Symphony, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, and the Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra.

Co-founded by Producing Director Ciarán O'Reilly and Artistic Director Charlotte Moore, The Irish Repertory Theatre opened its doors in September 1988 with Sean O'Casey's THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS. The mission of the theatre was and remains to bring works by Irish and Irish American masters and contemporary playwrights to American audiences; to provide a context for understanding the contemporary Irish American experience; and to encourage the development of new works focusing on the Irish and Irish American experience, as well as a range of other cultures.

Currently at The Irish Repertory Theatre, on its Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, is the world premiere of Kelly Younger's BANISHED CHILDREN OF EVE, adapted from the novel by Peter Quinn and directed by Ciarán O'Reilly, with performances running through December 5. And, presently running in the W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre through November 28, is Conor McPherson's ST. NICHOLAS, starring John Martello and directed by Alex Dmitriev.

AN EVENING OF BACH, featuring Christina Prince and Gerald Ranck runs one performance only on Monday, November 15 at 8:00pm at Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street). Tickets are $45 ($15, students and seniors). For tickets, call 212-727-2737 or visit www.irishrep.org.
