After over two years of sold-out performances, as well as acclaim from critics and audiences alike, It's Just Sex, Los Angeles' longest-running, award-winning comedy about partner-swapping couples, will finally come to New York City. Written by Jeff Gould and directed by Rick Shaw, It's Just Sex opens an open-ended Off-Broadway run tonight, Tuesday June 25th, at the Actors Temple Theatre (339 West 47th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues).

It's Just Sex is a thought-provoking and hilarious look at monogamy, infidelity, lust, trust and the boundaries of relationships. With the kids away at camp, three couples get together for an innocent cocktail party. But as the liquor flows, games are played, secrets are revealed, trust is tested, boundaries are broken and reality gets 'swapped' for fantasy.

Featured in the cast are Jackie Debatin ("The Office," "According To Jim,"), Elaine Hendrix (Disney's The Parent Trap, "Joan of Arcadia"), Michael Colby Jones ("One Life To Live," "Guiding Light," and "As The World Turns"), Gina LaPiana ("Days Of Our Lives"), Matt Walton (Boeing-Boeing at Papermill, the Coen Brothers' Burn After Reading), Salvator Xuereb (Captain America 2 - Freezer Burn) and Molly Fahey (Fine, Funny and Female). It's Just Sex will have scenic and lighting design by Josh Iacovelli, costumes by Molly Maginnis-Tippe, and sound design by Paul Bourgeois.

Rick Shaw's career includes performing, writing, producing and directing comedy for TV, movies, radio, stage, and nightclubs, including 6 seasons as producer on the hit CBS comedy "The Nanny." He has won and/or been nominated for 2 Cable Ace Awards, an NAACP Image Award and an Emmy. Rick currently owns and is the Producing Director of the Secret Rose Theater and the NoHo Playhouse in the heart of the NoHo Arts District.

Jeff Gould's critically acclaimed first play, Troubled Waters won the 2002 Artistic Achievement Award for Best Original Production and was hailed by the Los Angeles Times as "hilarious and inspired". His latest comedy, Is There Sex After Marriage is currently in pre-production in Los Angeles.

Performances are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7pm, with a matinee Wednesday at 2pm. Tickets, which range from $39.50 to $59.50 (including a $1.50 Facility Fee), may be purchased at Telecharge.com or by calling 212/239-6200. Tickets may also be purchased in person at St. Luke's Theater Box Office, 308 West 46 Street (between 8th & 9th Avenues).
