33 Productions in association with Improbable Fiction presents ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION, A Folktale by John Patrick Shanley, directed by Tracy Liz Miller. One Week Only July 8 through 12!

A new staging of John Patrick Shanley's ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION will be presented for one week only, beginning July 8 at The Space Theater.

Shanley's play explores five characters caught in the change of heart and spirit that reconciliation requires. Huey has resolved to reclaim his manhood from his volatile ex-wife, Janice, at the expense of his current relationship with girl-next-door Teresa. Huey's loyal but intractable best friend, Aldo, has his own ideas about Huey's relationships and will go to great lengths to help his friend. Appearing at first glance as a romantic comedy, ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION gives way to a more encompassing tale of friendship, redemption and the capacity to love.

33 Productions is a newly-formed company conceived with the sole intent of giving artists a chance to be remarkable without having to market themselves. Improbable Fiction is a group of actors, directors and designers committed to utilizing their creative gifts, even in between paying gigs. They are co-producing Italian American Reconciliation as a part of their mission to promote the creation of quality theatre featuring quality artists. Performance for the fun of it, for the experience of it, for the love of it.
