When hypochondriac Natalie falls in love with chronically ill Sam, she doesn't know how to manage his Cystic Fibrosis. As their relationship begins to disintegrate amidst Sam's new online relationship with another CF patient, Clara, the three of them struggle to reconcile issues of connection, fear, hope, and loneliness together.
Directed by Lizz Power and written by Liza Summer, I'm Afraid of Death but Not of Dying has an official cast for the SheNYC 2018 Summer Theater Festival. The SheNYC Summer Theater Festival is New York City's only festival devoted to producing full-length plays, musicals, and adaptations by women writers annually, and in 2018 will be joined by the inaugural year of the She L.A. Summer Theater Festival. SheNYC's commitment to an open submissions process allows it to discover and cultivate the best up-and-coming talent in the industry.
