Horse Trade Theater Co's PLAYING CRICKET Plays Final Performance at The Kraine Theater

Playing Cricket is an academic comedy with a twist. Cricket, an aging graduate student ("I have almost not yet turned thirty") toils away in the departmental library while avoiding graduation. Other characters include the Department Head and his wife, two instructors vying for a promotion, and Cricket's friend Debra, a sexy undergrad who get her grades any way she can. The play will have its final performance on February 20.

PLAYING CRICKET will feature Gabriel Sloyer, Nic Tyler, Jessica Chazen, Richard Brundage, Scott Glascock, Elizabeth Bove, Tom Bateman, and Byrnne Kraynak.

Andrew Bauer (Playwright) was educated at Georgetown and Columbia Universities where his first play, Henderson, was produced at The Minor Latham Theatre. Other plays include, A Pocket Mirror Will Do, produced at the University of Minnesota Theatre School and in New York City by The York Players, The Stylists and A Garden Of Delights at Manhattan Theatre Club, The Bridal Shower at the Howard McClure and Dryclean at Under St. Marks Theater as part of The New York International Fringe Festival. For many years, Mr. Bauer was also Gene Frankel's partner in The Gene Frankel Theatre School in New York City. Mr. Bauer currently lives in New York City on St Marks Place.

ELEANORE DYL (Director) In 1996, Eleonore graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in stage management and theatre production. Since then she has worked on film and theatrical productions with international directors such as Irina Brook and Luc Bondi. Eleonore started to direct her own projects in 2003. In 2006, she received a grant from the Swiss government to develop a personal theatrical project in NYC. Since then, she divides her time between NY and Europe. Currently, she is working in NY for the Marie-Christine Giordano Dance Company as Director of Theater Education, collaborating with Gilles Vuissoz on the surrealist film La Baignoire du Champ (to be released in 2010), and working on her next production, a stage adaptation of a graphic novel.

GAEL MILLER (Assistant Director) Playwright, Producer, Director, and Actor with Elysium Productions in Ireland which produced her works Elysium, Llorando Fuego, Bastard Child, Raw Heaven Ride,The Death of Me , as well asWilliam Packard's Work - Spider Web, Neukeia Poem, Woman in an Asylum, Sandra and the Janitor, The Killer Thing and The Marriage. Other favorite works include Quiet Room, Nuts, Confessional, Betrayal, Electra and Moon for the Misbegotten. Film credits: A Dying Art, Chord and currently filming Cobra Criada.
Member of The Actors Studio Playwright/Directors Unit and Associate Editor of The New York Quarterly, which was quoted by Rolling Stone as the most influential poetry magazine in America. Ms. Miller was recently commissioned by Susan Batson to write a piece for Juliette Binoche for her dance performance tour of IN-I entitled I, Juliette.

Horse Trade Theater Group is a self-sustaining theater development group; with a focus on new work, it has produced a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater. Horse Trade's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent Theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. It is also the home of FRIGID New York - the first and only festival of its kind in New York City.
