Now in its third smash year, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER, Off-Broadway's comedy hit by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, will end its triumphant run Saturday evening, January 3rd at Planet Hollywood Times Square.
HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER began performances August 22, 2012 at Sofia's Downstairs Theater, where the show played to packed houses for more than a year. The production reopened on October 19, 2013 to unanimous rave reviews at the brand new Screening Room Theater at Planet Hollywood, 1540 Broadway (entrance on 45th Street just east of Broadway).
Currently starring Kevin James Doyle and Olivia Petzy, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER delivers a laugh-filled tour around the greatest city in the world. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this "Saturday Night Live" style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and even cruelly maligned pigeons all get a solid lampooning! It doesn't matter if you were born on the Upper West Side or just took your first terrifying cab ride, you will love learning How to Be a New Yorker.
The playing schedule for HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is Fridays and Saturdays at 7 PM. There will be two added Christmas holiday matinees December 27th and 28th at 1:30 PM. Lunch or dinner is served at each performance with a delicious menu, catered by Buca di Beppo, consisting of House Salad, Spaghetti Marinara, Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, and Cookies & Brownies.
