HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER Kicks Off Saturday Late Night Comedy, 4/20

Off-Broadway's new hit comedy How To Be a New Yorker is introducing a "Saturday Late Night Comedy" series immediately after the performance tomorrow evening, April 20th. Written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, How To Be a New Yorker opened on October 17, 2012 to rave reviews at Sofia's Downstairs Theater in the heart of Times Square.

Every week, the "Saturday Late Night Comedy" series will present little-known (for now) authentic New York talent to bring an extra hour of laughs free of charge to the audience! This week's special guests are comedian Bryson Turner (named Funniest Person in Austin) and Gypsy Joe Trane, New York City's most gifted subway guitarist and entertainer.

HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER delivers a laugh-filled tour around the greatest city in the world with actors, comedians and licensed tour guides Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle as they play over 60 characters. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this "Saturday Night Live" style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, muggers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and Mayor Bloomberg all get a solid lampooning! HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is produced Off-Broadway by CRC Productions and Marie B Productions. The playing schedule is Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30 PM and Saturdays at 2 & 7:30 PM, with a running time of 65 minutes (no intermission).
