HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is adding an additional performance to its weekly playing schedule on Thursdays at 7:30 PM beginning March 14th. Written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, How To Be a New Yorker opened on October 17, 2012 at Sofia's Downstairs Theater in the heart of Times Square.
Being a New Yorker is not just about a city; it's a badge of honor, so come earn yours! Take a laugh filled tour around the greatest city in the world with actors, comedians and licensed tour guides Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle as they play over 60 characters. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this "Saturday Night Live" style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400 year history. Immigrants, construction workers, muggers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and Mayor Bloomberg all get a solid lampooning! HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is produced Off-Broadway by CRC Productions and Marie B Productions. The playing schedule is Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30 PM and Saturdays at 2 PM, and the running time is 65 minutes (with no intermission).
