HIM Closes Off-Broadway After 3 Performances

HIM, written and directed by Clifford Streit, played its final performance at SoHo Playhouse on Saturday, March 24. Previews began March 10 and opening was March 21. It played 11 previews and 3 regular performances. 

HIM, starred Jon Fleming (Dante's Cove, Will & Grace), as well as Todd Crain (The Vicar's Wife, Onion News Network), Lindsay Goranson, Georgia X. Lifsher, James Sautter, and Julian Mercer. The production team featured Josh Iacovelli (lighting and set design), Dustin Cross (costumes), Jonathan Santos (stage manager) and sound design by Juni Li.

In HIM, hunky actor Nick Cooper has just landed his breakthrough film role and the offers from Hollywood's A-list are pouring in. The only problem: Nick is gay and his viper of an agent wants to keep him in the closet. Nick is happy to play along in spite of the vocal opposition of his boyfriend. But all hell breaks loose when a Latina bombshell is brought in to play Nick's girlfriend.

Clifford Streit has written the column Hollywood and Blind for RADAR Magazine and has been a producer on several films including American Psycho. He has written several screenplays including Beth in Venice, which is currently in pre production. He has been a creative consultant for several TV shows including VH1's Sex, Lives, and Videotapes. His first novel, Greydune, will be published in 2012.
